My Tree My Life Project - SMSS

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! This sooooo over due. I was suppose to post this last week but I have been really, really, really busy with school and family functions.

On the 18th of July, my class - Year 11A had a tree planting session. Well, other class had other days to plant the plants. From what I know, these tree planting sessions is to support HOB project. Anyway, only some of us brought saplings - mostly are flowers and I am the only one who brought tree sapling, to be specific, mango tree. I was suppose to bring the sapling I brought home from Labi, and also simpur. But, sadly, it wilted! So, I had to find a tree sapling the night before, and yes, that is why I ended up with mango tree sapling instead.

We planted the trees around the school area - digging the holes, planting, watering. We had fun planting because we could skipped some of the classes :p and of course, because we "helped" the Earth.

Other than that, this project doesn't only consist of tree planting, but also puppet shows, and talks about global warming, deforestation and etc on the next week. Drawings on global warming are also pasted around the school compound.

Tree Planting in Badas (First session)

I was with the BPYs (thanks for the ride, guys!) for the event and it was awesome. 600 trees were planted in just less than an hour.

Meeting point was at Soon Lee Sg Liang. While waiting, we went to one of the restaurant for breakfast. My friends -Fez, Justeen and Maria- were there too, together with Uncle Pablo and the others. Brunei Times came to make cover on the event.

Started our journey around 9 am, if I am not mistaken, accompanied by ISB's principal, Dr David Taylor and British High Commissioner. It was a long ride, in deed. It took us around 10-15 minutes to go to the area by bus and another 10-15 minutes walk to the plantation area. They dug up the holes already, so it was easier for us and faster.

Some briefing was given on how we are going to plant those trees. And after we finished planting the trees (I was told that it was drybalanops rappa), we were given refreshments such as fruits, waters and light food.

Everything was awesome and went well.

This is iBlog's first cover and I am glad that I came because I know that I can't come on the 2nd session.

I've got an update on the Tree Planting event in Badas Forest Reserve for the 17th June 2009. They are some 1,200 trees to be planted and it is now decided that there will be to two sessions. The session on Wed, 17th is still on (with the British High Commissioner and staff) and the other one is Friday, 12 June 2009 at 9am. Guess who will be there? Yes! The Polar Girls, the Brunei Chevening Alumni, BARA and BPY of 35th SSEAYP.

Anyway, one person can plant about 16 trees in an hour and they intend to be there at Badas in two hours (in view of Friday). Some school students have also shown interest which is great.

There is a bus leaving Yayasan on Friday 7.30 am and limited seats available if anyone interested. Do email brithc@brunet.bn.

Let us plant trees!

Uncle Pablo messaged me yesterday and told me about tree planting in Badas this June. If you have already read his blog, I am sure you know about this already, if you haven't, you can click here or just read them below :p

Recently We have voted Earth during the Earth Hour. It is time to put our words into action, The United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) has designated 5th June as World Environmental Day, and has organized the One Billion Tree Campaign,with tree planting or replanting as its main goal.

The British High Commission is organizing a tree planting event at Badas Forest Reserve in Seria on Wednesday 17th June 2009 at 9.00 am. The High Commission is committed in reducing the Carbon Dioxide emission into the atmosphere and one way to do it is to plant as many trees as possible. The designated area is the Badas Forest Reserve which you may have known, was badly damaged due to forest fires many years back. Last year, HRH The Prince of Wales together with HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister, both planted trees in the area and has brought much attention to the tree-planting project there.

The programme on that day is for participants to make their own way to the Badas area. There will be a sign on both sides of the highway (for those travelling from Bandar or from Belait) on where the exact location is.

Brunei Generation Green Project

Was suppose to update earlier, but.. yeah, sorry. It is just the matter of time. Anyway, 350.org - Brunei Generation Green is organizing a few events which will be held in OCTOBER (I thought it's this month! I hope I could make it since I am going to have Oct/Nov O Level Exam). Click here.

"On October 24, there will be an international Global Warming awareness events that will be occurring all over the Globe at various iconic locations.

In conjunction to that, we plan to make this Global warming awareness campaign on a large scale in Brunei.

I believe it is the first of its kind in our homeland, and it would be our chance to mark our country on the world map, gaining recognition that there is a going green movement in our country.

This event is still in the planning stage, and we would like YOU to get involved and take part in the planning process! Do come through with ideas and inspiration of any sort.

World Malaria Day (25th April)

Objective:
April 25th is a day of unified commemoration of the global effort to provide effective control of malaria around the world.
Malaria is a deadly mosquito-born disease, which takes almost one million lives per year and afflicts as many as half a billion people in 109 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Malaria plagued Europe and North America as recently as 60 years ago. Simple public health measures were crucial to eliminating the disease and helping those regions achieve growth, prosperity and stability.

Today, for the first time in 50 years, the international community is poised to win the fight against malaria worldwide. Effective, low-cost tools exist to prevent and treat the disease and new and improved tools are currently being developed and tested. A consensus global action plan has been put forth to guide a coordinated international effort to control, eliminate and eventually eradicate malaria. A robust Partnership, uniting all key actors and stakeholders in malaria control, is in place to respond to challenges that no organization or government can face alone.

The next two years present a rare window of opportunity to save a million lives by rapidly delivering malaria interventions - protective nets, diagnostic tests, antimalarial drugs and indoors spraying - to all people at risk of the disease and to pave the way towards virtually ending deaths by 2015.

On World Malaria Day, the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership will kick-start its "Counting malaria out" campaign. Career Awareness Day in Seri Mulia Sarjana School

Seri Mulia Sarjana School organized a two days Career Awareness Day on the 17th and 18th March 2009. On the 17th March, there were opening ceremony for the awareness day. There were a lot of colleges and vocational schools took part in the event.

The guest of honor was Mrs Mary Lim, who is the owner of Seri Mulia Sarjana School.

The event was started with reciting of Do'a by Cikgu Aziz Bin Hamdan and followed by a welcome speech by the principal of Seri Mulia Sarjana School, Cikgu Radzuan bin Abdullah. It was then followed by a chinese drum performance by the Chinese Cultural Club (C3) of Seri Mulia Sarjana School.

After that, Seri Mulia Sarjana School choir members (who recently joined the choir competition) performed at the event with the song "Negaraku" to end the event.

After that, the students were welcomed to visit the booths.

Hello readers. We received a respond about our very first post about HIV/AIDS Awareness. Here is the response:

"THE CURE for HIV/AIDS.......AMBUSH

THE IDEA that AMBUSH cures AIDS
is being proven by the more than 400 individuals who have taken a dose of 60 ml three times daily for 21 days. The result is that AMBUSH 'KILLS' the virus by causing the protein envelope to rupture and the viral particles are discarded by the white blood cells. AMBUSH is able to 'KILL' the virus that are 'hiding' in the lymph system by its 'natural radioactive' properties. This process allows the body to 'return to normal health' with a corresponding immunity to that or those strains of the virus.

What is AMBUSH ?
AMBUSH is a radioactive isotope of uranium that is found in the 'palm' plant of which there are more than 3000 species. When ingested, AMBUSH causes the body temperature in the trunk area to rise to about 102 degrees when the individual is sleeping. The preparation takes four hours per batch, which is then given to the individuals for consumption 60 ml three times daily for 21 days. AMBUSH is a herbal preparation in this form but it contains an active ingredient which is a 'NEW' crystalline substance, a drug from the 'palm plant' similarly to ASPIRIN originating from the willow tree bark

RESULTS:
After 21 days on AMBUSH, ALL the individuals experienced a decrease in viral load to undetectable, an increase in cd4, increase in RBC, an improvement in general health such as more color to the face, decrease in Buffalo hump, an increase in gluteal muscles, a decrease to having no joint pains whereby individuals can bend to touch their toes, and walk up steps are but a few examples. There is also a dramatic increase in their sexual appetite beginning after the first week of therapy

DISCUSSION:
In any plant concoction such as percolated 'tea', there are 30-40,000 compounds, whi ch would take the scientific community twenty years to isolate one particular ingredient if they knew what they were looking for. The LORD GOD has given me seven steps to isolate the active ingredient, which is soft and metallic in nature and has a carbon- uranium-sulfur-(classified)-phentolamine configuration or structure. This is similar to Federick Kekule and the discovery of the benzene ring where he dreamt the structure.

As an antiviral and 'natural radioactivity' producing agent, AMBUSH is also effective against leukemia, lupus and HPV. Here I am saying that I have 'GIVEN' AMBUSH in the same 'strength' and dosage to patients with leukemia, lupus and HPV. A 35 year old male with HIV found it difficult to impossible to urinate was put on 'green tea' and water while the doctors contemplated prostrate surgery. One of the doctors gave him my number , I sent him a supply of AMBUSH an d he has not been given any more ARV's, since taking AMBUSH 18 months ago, is in 'good' health and has expressed a willingness to be examined by HIV investigators like many others who have taken AMBUSH.

I have sent this 'IDEA' to most HIV research agencies, scientist of the field, universities, hospitals, clinics, politicians and news agencies to which it is REJECTED because the name of THE LORD GOD is mentioned. He has steered me scientifically through the processes such as which plant and how to produce the active ingredient. What are the odds of a Florida Pharmacist picking a plant would contain the CURE for HIV/AIDS ?
I have never charged any of the people for their supply of AMBUSH but a life saving has been spent on the project with NO renumeration from any sources because AMBUSH falls outside the walls of modern medicine and research.

PROPOSAL:

My proposal is that I PROVE that AMBUSH CURES HIV/AIDS by giving it to a number of END-STAGE or DRUG-RESISTANT people and the scientific community watches their recovery. This proposal addresses the problem in that I have already outlaid the results to be obtained.

This IDEA is unconventional in that the scientific community has rejected AMBUSH because I say it is GOD given. Secondly if I wrote it according to certain standards, then it might be peer reviewed. However, THE LORD GOD has also shown me that there are five enzyme systems associated with the virus, reverse transcriptase, protease, fusion and two more of which causes the virus to be AIRBOURNE. This means that without DIVINE intervention mankind and ALL warm- blooded mammals will be extinct in a number of years.

The PROOF of what I am saying is found in scientific papers wherein it is found that when the protease cuts the viral strands, it cuts it at DIFFERENT lengths EVERY time, to which it should always be a valine at the end but is a different amino acid every time. This is why it is IMPOSSIBLE to produce a VACCINE.

Since this is NOT a hypothesis but there are about 400 individuals who have taken AMBUSH, here lies a vast area in which to check, recheck and confirm that AMBUSH CURES AIDS. Let it be mentioned that during the HIV reproductive cycle, reverse transcriptase converts viral RNA into DNA compatible to human genetic materials. Thus the human DNA has been 'hijacked' and since each person has a DIFFERENT DNA, then the new viral copy is unique to that person which shows that each individual has a DIFFERENT STRAIN of the virus. Consider two HIV positive people swapping viral strains and increasing its complexity with multiple partners.
It can also be proposed that they be revisited as proof that the strain or strains that they had were 'killed' at the time of taking AMBUSH considering that a person can catch as many different strains as there are people who are infected by HIV.
I am also willing to work with the scientific community in identifying those individuals who took AMBUSH and wish to be identified with this process notwithstanding that some are stigmatized while others are jubilant,

Once AMBUSH is verified as being able to accomplish that which is aforementioned then the next stage might be the natural and artificial synthesis of the substance.

Finally, if this is accepted or not, believed or not, THE LORD GOD always wins and this is the heavenly truth to which AMBUSH was divinely given to mankind for the CURE of HIV/AIDS and it will be here forever. Apostle Shada Mishe.

It was quite surprising for me to read this article. But it's not "that" surprising after all, as "most" teenagers nowadays will do this "kind of thing" without thinking the risk they are going to have.

We hear news about "bayi kena buang" almost everyday in neighboring country and including Brunei. Both parents and their children should take attention about this matter. It is not wrong if teenagers want to socialize. But it is wrong for them (including me) to "socialize in a wrong way" or should I say, over-socialize. It is not wrong to have girlfriend or boyfriend, as long as you know the LIMIT.

"Some" parents are very concern about this matter but however, a few of them don't actually bother about their kids, which may lead to this type of cases. There are some reasons why kids usually behave out of control, too socializing, or whatever you may call it such as lack of love from parents, family and friends. And this problem happens to almost all of the teenagers.

I am not sure whats the purpose of me writing this up. I just feel like sharing my thoughts. I wanted to continue this post but it made me think twice. I am afraid it may be offensive. I would like to apologize if I said anything offensive or whatever. Just wanna share my thoughts. Maybe, that's all I should say.

I am not sure whether I will come. Syahirah wanted to come but she said she doesn't have any accompany. And if she does, she wasn't sure if her parents would allow her.

We wanted to come too, but too bad that we have assignments to do. I hope everyone will have fun.

HIV/AIDS 2008 Awareness

Salam everyone. As a new blogger, my team and I would like to apologize if there is any mistakes or anything that may insulate any of the readers. The purpose of this blog is to let everyone share and join any awareness made by our team or any other bloggers around Brunei and neighboring countries. We have been looking through random blogs available in Simpur Blogging Nations and found out that there are some fellow Bruneians who actually blogged about some awareness. One of the blog that interest us is Another Chapter of My Life.

On the 26th of November 2008, she blogged about "Let us stand up for them!"

She encouraged her readers to join her awareness on HIV/AIDS Awareness as she is a part of Bloggers Unite.

Some of her friends ignored it, thinking that it was just some kind of tags. However a few of her readers and friends joined the awareness and asked their friends to join too.
